Wiring Working Bee

Regular blog readers would remember that the dash of Retro Rock-It was left hanging out after the previous week's work...  Damian figured some of the bits from under Booger Mobile's dash might be useful...

Meanwhile, there were wires going everywhere in Retro Rock-It still...

Adam checked out attaching some rubber mud flaps (which are an event requirement, and Retro Rock-It seemed to have lost one in its travels)...

Still looking shiny...

Not being able to remove enough wires from under Booger Mobile's dash to pilfer one of the fuse blocks, Damian bought a swanky new one that only takes a single feed in, and has ten fused outputs!!

The dash is back together, with the trip meter now being hooked up to the new fuse block - running off the accessories switch.  The UHF remains permanently wired to allow for its use even when stopped waiting (as happens sometimes on esCarpade).

And voila!!  The mud flaps are attached...

So purty!!

Adam trimming the driver's side mud flap to give clearance around the exhaust pipe...

Nice... now less likely to catch fire!!

Making slow but steady progress now... the wiring is prepared for additional things to draw power - that job is for another weekend!
