Carrara Markets Corvette Car Show - Fundraising Kicks Off

Damian was up early ready to head to the 2022 Corvette Car Show at Carrara Markets... This year he would be joined by the lovely Tricia to help shake the tins and kick off fundraising for the 2023 Camp Quality esCarpade!

But first... time for a sneaky Penguin Punk sticker, courtesy of the most generous Dan!

Heading out...

On the road, Tricia tried to get a nice pic of the sunrise and the moon in the sky...

Not bad given the fact they were driving down the highway at the time!

Heading up over the Gateway Bridge...

And at the Carrara Markets, lined up waiting to go in and set up.

Sneaky selfie with Tricia staying warm in the car!

Check out the impressive buttress roots on this tree...  they were about 1.5m tall!

Deja vu all over again!!  Same bat spot, same bat time, same batty people!

The 'vettes headed into the pavilion... It was going to be a fine and sunny day!

Queensland Corvette Club were the hosts of this event, and as always tremendous supporters of Camp Quality and Damian's fundraising efforts!

Damian grabbed a Wounded Heroes sticker also - the other charity supported by the Queensland Corvette Club who were also there fundraising!

The lovely Tricia, doing a fabulous job shaking the tin... err... bucket!

The crowds started to flow through...

Plenty of cars to see...

Damian's personal favourite is the blue 1956 Corvette in the foreground...

Tricia's favourite is this pink 1973 Corvette... it looks like a matchbox car in these images, but it's real!

Selfie...

And a snappy selfie for the fundraising duo!

Panoramic shot of inside the pavilion...

Getting set up for the trophy presentation...

After the trophy presentation, it was time for Damian and Tricia to head on home... Once home, the counting of the donation tins took place, and the total was... <drumroll>

$399.15

Thanks heaps to the Queensland Corvette Club, Mia from the Carrara Markets and all the visitors who gave generously not just to Camp Quality, but also to Wounded Heroes.
