2019 esCarpade Day 6 - Renmark to Murrayville to Horsham

So... today's blog starts very early... around 12:30 am... This noisy thing was BEEP BEEP BEEPing in the hallway outside the room...

Soon after, there were these things outside (fire appliances)...

Followed by a room by room inspection by Firies in full turnout gear...

Funnily enough, the boys were staying in room "TWO TWO FOUUUUUUUUUUUUR"...  This is the car number of one of the other esCarpade entrants... said with that accent.

The morning rolled around... and the Murray River looked good...

The night's "storm" activity looked like Retro Rock-It had been rolled in red dust and sprinkled with water...

Heading to breakfast, the windscreen was very average...

Damian found a hose on the way to breakfast and washed off some of the grunge...

Breakfast was at the Renmark Wolves football club.

Ben's day 6 driver briefing...

Lined up for the school visit.

Damian noticed this sign and was glad they weren't run into by a driverless vehicle...

Crossing the Murray River...

And through a random Dunlop tyre spanning the highway...  As you do.

Onto the dirt...

Corey took a minor detour off a sharp left hand bend... he was soon back on his way after assistance from Retro Rock-It and 808...

Fun stop...

Chipping the ball...

This fly was annoying the boys... Damian intentionally took a photo of it...

Photobombed by the fly again!

Heading into the Murrayville Hotel for lunch...

Back on the road after a quick lunch, it was time to head to Horsham...

Dead windmill...

Another train line on a highway!

Past an old house... with an artistic reflection of the car number in the navigator's rear view mirror...

Afternoon fun stop...

More putting games...

Heading back onto the road...

And actually stopped at one of the level crossings...

There it goes...

And goes...

And goes...

And goes...

And finally finishes!

The rest of the way on bitumen to Horsham...

The local constabulary liked the cars so much they pulled one over to say g'day...

Enough spots of rain fell on the windscreen that Damian had to give on swipe of the windscreen wiper...

Sunny, downtown Horsham!

And parked up at the motel...

Day 6 was done and dusted... a few minor incidents involving other teams, but Retro Rock-It continued to perform well...

One more day to go for esCarpade 2019!
