esCarpade Day 4 - Lay Day in Rockhampton

Lay Day in Rockhampton... a chance for the boys to get their official photo done...

And a selfie with Noni the photographer!

Looking for divine intervention in Rockhampton.

Damian took Retro Rock-It for a wash...

Then after getting back to the motel, Hoges noticed that there was still oil dripping off Retro Rock-It again... Damian removed the front bash plate.

Oil on the back half of the plate...

Oil on the sump...

The sump plug looked secure...

After much stuffing around, Damian broke the plastic end off the oil sender unit while attempting to check if it was secure... Seems likely that this was the culprit for the oil leak...  Damian managed to source a new oil sender unit (the last one in stock), then after buying a 24mm tube socket so he could tighten it up, it appears to have stopped leaking... time will tell!

The old sender unit...

Once the oil leak was resolved, the boys went for a walk around Rockhampton.

The old Archer Park Railway Station (coincidentally, they are staying in the Archer Park Motel).

The river is much larger than they expected!

Some beautiful old buildings also...
\

Damian saw this building and said that Customs House in Brisbane was a similar design. so this was probably Customs House... turns out, it is!

More old buildings...

Artistic railway line shot...

And a Rockhampton sunset!

The moon was bright!

Finishing the day catching up with some other esCarpadians for dinner, the boys considered that it had been a successful Lay Day... hopefully the oil leak dramas are now behind them!
